5 Elements (2019)

A 16 millimeter film documents Asad Raza’s production of “neosoil” in the Clothing Store in Sydney, Australia. Film grain and particles of soil and water, reflect light in similar but divergent ways. We hear the voice of translator Olivia Fairweather asking questions about the nature of the material. Commissioned by Kaldor Public Art Projects.
